Seven years ago, Warrior Body opened its doors with a mission to build strength—not just physical strength, but mental toughness, community, and confidence. I had the honor of documenting their 7th anniversary celebration. It meant the world to be a part of something that’s been such a big part of my life for the past 7+ years.
What makes Warrior Body so unique isn’t just the programming or the workouts—it’s the people. From ages 23 to early 70s, this gym is proof that strong bodies come in all forms and that age is just a number when you have a support system that lifts you up—literally and figuratively.
As Micki, owner and coach at Warrior Body, puts it:
“We are all truly capable of anything we want—especially when we have the right support system to help us see it through.”
As a photographer, it was important to me to honor that vision by focusing not just on the workouts, but the interactions—the claps, the grit, the joy, the exhaustion, and the pride that comes when you push your limits surrounded by people who believe in you.
This is documentary photography in its rawest form—unscripted, real-life moments that capture what it feels like to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or years into it, Warrior Body reminds us that when we move together, support one another, and celebrate every rep, every push, and every milestone, we all get stronger.
Happy 7 years, Warrior Body!
